If you enjoy music and laughter you’ll not want to miss 2CC the music and laughter show on 3rd September 2017 at 1pm at the Tyne Theatre.  This fantastic show for young and old is to celebrate 50 years of Byker Masonic Hall, 150 years of the Tyne Theatre and 300 years of Freemasonry in 2017.  A smorgasbord of established and up-and-coming acts will be treating you to a fun-filled, feel-good afternoon of entertainment – all in support of two local causes. Namely, the Northumberland Masonic Charities Association (NMCA) which supports various charities and initiatives throughout Northumberland and the Tyne Theatre & Opera House Preservation Trust who aim to preserve the architectural and theatrical heritage of the building. The event will be recalling the good old-fashioned variety shows of yesteryear. There will truly be something for all ages – from ‘50’s & 60s to the latest chart hits along with a good slice of humour! Tickets are priced at £10.

It’s not too late to get tickets for the Provincial Grand Lodge tercentenary celebration dinner at the Bamburgh Suite St James’ Park on Saturday July 8th so call the Provincial Grand Office on 0191 213 6990. Tickets are priced at £36 and include a 4 course meal, wine, entertainment and dancing.

A new event has recently been announced at Beamish Museum on Saturday 24th June 2017. The Northumberland and Durham Chapters of the Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association are holding an event with a display of varied Motorbikes. There is also an exhibition depicting 300 years of Freemasonry in the Masonic Temple and the Masonic Demonstration Team will be in the Lodge room.

A reminder if you like classic cars, motorbikes, scooters and steam engines come along with the family for a fabulous day at the Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter, Benton Rd., Newcastle, NE12 8EH from 10.00 till 16.40 on 16th July. Entry is free with refreshments available and a picnic area.
