It is with great sadness that we have to report the death of our honorary brother, Wbro Bob Thompson  who died in hospital, at 73 years of age, on Friday 11th November 2016  after a short illness bravely borne.

Wbro Bob joined Lodge Temperance in 1997 from Legion lodge 8634 and was made an Honorary member in June of this year in recognition of his service and dedication to the Lodge. He was an active member and was Master in 2008 and more recently held the office of Chaplain. He attended our October meeting.

Throughout his Masonic career Bob was a guiding light to many new masons giving them the benefit of his extensive Masonic experience and knowledge. He could always be relied upon to help out and both Bob and his wife Jan supported the Lodge over many years and regularly attended our social events.

He will be sorely missed by us all and our heartfelt sympathies are extended to his wife Jan and his family.

Wbro Bob’s funeral will be at the Whitley Bay Crematorium on Wednesday 23rd November at 14:15
