Death near the Chippie?
Recently our Lodge Mentor WBro Kevin and his lovely wife Lynda had a very famous customer visit their fish and chip shop – K and L Fisheries in Annitsford – which had been transformed for one day into “Sea End Fish and Chips”.
A scene from the next series of ITV’s iconic North East drama “Vera” was being filmed right on their doorstep and K and L Fisheries, a popular fish and chips takeaway in Annitsford, was featured in the scene and when DCI Vera Stanhope (Brenda Blethyn) and her oppo DS Aiden Healy (Kenny Doughty) stopped by for chips.
Vera is a British crime drama series based on novels of the same name, written by crime writer Ann Cleeves. Vera is a nearly retired employee of the fictional ‘Northumberland & City Police’, who is obsessive about her work and driven by her own demons. She plods along in a constantly dishevelled state, but has a calculating mind and, despite her irascible personality, she cares deeply about her work and comrades.
Lynda commented:”it was a very exciting afternoon and the scene should be aired early next year in episode 2. The signed photo was a thank you (see below). “
Brethren something to watch out for and we hope they don’t have a death near the chippy!
