We have updated the biography of WW1 hero, Bro Lieutenant John Powe Roberts, 9th Battalion Australian Infantry, Australian Imperial Force, who was killed on the 25th April 1915, 33 years of age.
John moved to Australia with his wife Sarah in 1911 but remained a subscribing member of Lodge Temperance 2557 until his death on the battle field of Gallipoli in 1915.
We have added a photo of John and his wife Sarah at Pinkenba, Queensland 1914 and included further detail of his time with the Australian Imperial Forces.
