Alan Blacklock Lattimer was a Freemason and member of Lodge Temperance 2557 who served in the 2nd World War and sadly made the ultimate sacrifice being killed in action on 16th November 1940.

It is with great sadness that we have to report the death of our Brother Wbro Terry Keddy suddenly in hospital on Wednesday 5th November, aged 81 years.

Congratulations to Wbo Simon Bough on being installed in the Chair of King Solomon and all the newly appointed officers and brethren of Lodge Temperance 2557 and best wishes for the ensuing year.

Bro Andrew Christopher Messer was a founding member of Lodge Temperance 2557 which met at the Masonic Hall, Shakespeare Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

A surprise email from a Canadian Freemason has led to the discovery of a long-lost Founder’s Jewel from a Newcastle Freemason’s lodge.

One of our new members, Bro Adam, organised a charity walk in support of Andy’s Man Club, a men’s suicide prevention charity.

On Tuesday 19th December our regular meeting was followed by our fabulous festive celebration and what better way to celebrate the run up to Christmas than to enjoy a traditional Christmas meal, great entertainment from the lovely Lou, dancing, a raffle and of course excellent company.

As the weather turns chilly and the nights draw in, it’s time to think about our December meeting on Tuesday 19th followed by our fabulous festive celebration.

Our June meeting was held on Tuesday 20th which was opened with solemn prayer by the Worshipful Master Wbro Chris.
