If you’ve explored our website you’ll know that we recently came across a long forgotten WW1 Roll of Honour stuck to the back page of a minute book and are researching the members of Lodge Temperance who are listed. You can check out the latest by clicking on History then WW1 Roll of Honour or selecting the biographies of members from the drop down list.

We are very pleased to report that the North East War Memorials Project has created a dedicated page for the Lodge Temperance 2557 Roll of Honour on their website and will also be hosting the biographies of our members in their “Every Name a Story” as we submit them.

The Lodge Temperance 2557 Roll of Honour can be found here.

The North East War Memorials Project was established to record every War Memorial located in the historic counties of Northumberland, Newcastle Upon Tyne and Durham with the addition of any areas included in the 1974 boundary changes. It now includes Comonwealth War Graves and family headstones. The whole purpose of the project is to create a massive tribute to all who suffered through war, either because they fought, or were left to pick up the pieces.  All members of the group are entirely voluntary. More details can be found here.
