USA Mason visits Northumberland
An old friend of Lodge Temperance 2557 made a flying visit to Northumberland recently to catch up with our brethren and to discover the North East’s talent for engineering marvels – particularly bridges. Breaking news by Wbro Keith.
W Bro James Anderson from Berea in Kentucky and his lovely wife Emily were looked after by W Bro Keith and his wife Lesley who took them all over the region in a fast moving weekend. James and a party of freemasons from Kentucky originally visited Lodge Temperance on the 26th September 2003 and performed the Kentuckian version of the 3rd degree to a fascinated audience.
The couple enjoyed visits to Holy Island, Berwick, Bamburgh and had the obligatory fish and chips in Seahouses. On the bridge front they visited the High Level Bridge, Tyne Bridge, Gateshead Millennium and in Berwick, the Royal Border Bridge.
W Bro Keith, W Bro Peter, their ladies and Bro Chris entertained the couple at an Indian restaurant on the Saturday night.
