Wbro Thomas William Hunter
WBro Thomas William Hunter was a Freemason and member of Lodge Temperance 2557.
At the Lodge Temperance meeting held on 18th June at the Central Masonic Hall, Pilgrim Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne WBro Thomas was proposed by Bro A. Gourley and seconded by WBro John Armstrong, Senior Deacon on behalf of Bro Gillies as a fit and proper person to be made a Freemason.
He was a 32 year old stationer residing in Fore Street, Hexham, Northumberland. A successful ballot was held at the same meeting and he was initiated into the mysteries and privileges of Ancient Freemasonry. He was passed to the second or Fellowcraft degree on 18th July and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on 15th August 1898.
He was installed as Worshipful Master in the chair of King Solomon of Lodge Temperance 2557 in 1906.
He was also a founding member and first Immediate Past Master of Lodge Prudence 3424 which was consecrated on 30th March 1910.
