Very pleased to announce the addition of the biography of petitioner and founding member Bro Samuel Ferguson Davidson. Samuel was a builder and contractor who started his company in 1890 with a capital of £16 (about £1500 in today’s money).
S.F. Davidson, Builders and Contractors, offered a wide variety of services from building work to plumbing, painting, glazing and decorating and specialised in the construction of Theatres and concert halls. His work includes the Grand Theatre, Wilfred Street, Byker, The Metropole Theatre, High Street, Gateshead, and the Spanish City in Whitley Bay.
