We’ve changed how you access the biographies of our members who served in the Great War. Just click on WW1 Roll of Honour scroll down and select the member you’re interested in. You’ll also find a link to photos of the Lodge minute book and its handwritten Roll of Honour being hosted by the North East War Memorial Project along with photos of the United Grand Lodge of England’s Masonic Roll of Honour 1914-1918, taken by our Senior Deacon Bro Dr. Chris on his recent visit to Grand Lodge in London.
We’ve added a new biography of founding member Bro. John Walker Gibson PM, PPGSD; the first Master of Lodge Temperance, Clerk to the Guardians of Newcastle Union Workhouse and Registrar of Marriages. You can check out his story here or go to History, Founding Members and click on his name.
